About Technologies for Worship
Publications
Technologies for Worship Magazine (TFWM) is the leading educational technology resource for houses of worship. Since 1992, TFWM has led the charge as an integral resource for the worship community.
Recently, TFWM has added several vehicles to their content arsenal, including a digital version of the publication, a bi-weekly audio e-newsletter, a mobile application and a brand new website. The mission of the publication is to educate readers as to the ways technology can be used as a tool to expand membership and outreach. The content is designed for house of worship tech staff, volunteers and leadership alike. It consists of tutorial-based articles, unbiased product reviews, technical tips, industry updates and company profiles. Topics range from a basic to advanced level to accommodate the publication's wide spectrum of readers.
Conferences
Adopting the same mandate as the publications, TFWM has organized conferences in several cities all over North America and around the world. The conferences offer hands-on product training and networking opportunities for house of worship staff and volunteer crews. TFWM has developed training programs in conjunction with major technology trade shows such as the National Association of Broadcasters, InfoComm International, Live Design International, PLASA (London, England), the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), Integrate in Sydney Australia and PALME in Singapore. Through partnerships with these prestigious associations, TFWM has established a framework of education geared to house of worship attendees on a global scale.
History
TFWM is a family owned company, started in 1990 by husband and wife team Shelagh Rogers and Barry Cobus. Shelagh and Barry have always been dedicated to educating the house of worship community about the benefits of understanding technology. Over the years they have developed strong relationships with hundreds of incredible authors, presenters, product developers and industry professionals. Their quest is to ensure that houses of worship are armed with the tools they need to reach out effectively to a technology-driven world.
