This class is for Technical Director and Media Minister planning video systems who must decide which formats to support, the impact of format choices to worship production and how to migrate to different formats in the future.

Whether working with an existing video system or building one, it’s critical to be able to communicate to senior pastor and leadership team the impact different format choices will have to their worship experience and how they can re-use production media. This class will help you to build an appropriate infrastructure for the video system that meets current needs and is expandable for future needs.

We will describe to you the various formats of video from Analog to HDTV and discuss how these different formats impact picture quality. We will give a framework for making format choices based on current equipment, infrastructure capability, current and future production needs, distribution requirements and budget.
