Protocol is now Available Online
New York, NY—Readers will now be able to view Protocol, the quarterly journal of the entertainment technology industry, online. Published by the Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA), every issue of Protocol since its inception is now accessible through a link on the ESTA website at www.esta.org. Protocol is highly respected for the quality of its technical and business articles and demand has been high for virtual access.
The online version of Protocol has the look of each actual issue and includes a page-turning effect so the viewer has the feel of paging through the publication. There are also internal quick links available on the cover and table of contents that take the viewer directly to articles or columns. External links allow the viewer to click on any advertiser’s URL and go directly to the advertiser’s home page. The online version includes the capability to search each issue or the entire archive for a specific topic. Additional features include zoom in/out and the ability to make a PDF of individual pages or the entire publication with user-friendly ease. All issues of Protocol are included in the archive dating back to the original journal published in 1996.
“Having a place to direct inquiries for highly technical articles from past Protocol issues will be a huge benefit,” reported Editor Beverly Inglesby, who receives many calls from industry professionals looking for specific technical information. “The availability of Protocol online will allow a new audience to discover Protocol and provide a tremendous resource for the entertainment technology industry through the archives,” added Bill Groener, ESTA President.
