New Products for IBC 2009
MobileMedia™ Products
IBC2009 attendees will be able to see the latest additions to Dielectric's range of solutions for the rapidly growing mobile media market, including antennas, filters, and other components designed specifically for spectrum owners who are transmitting content to wireless handheld devices. On display are:
1.4 GHz CP "Pylon" Patch Antenna
Dielectric's new 1.4 GHz high-power, circularly polarized broadband antenna builds upon the company's proven pylon antenna technology by featuring both azimuth and elevation pattern versatility in a single "common box" package. The "common box" approach allows broadcasters to choose transmission patterns without changing the mechanical specifications of the antenna design. This new antenna offers a distinctive and comprehensive feature set for broadcasters looking to make the leap into reliable MobileMedia broadcasting. The aesthetically pleasing, low-wind-load construction of the new antenna allows for either side- or top-mounting and provides 10- to 24-kW ERP/polarization.
UHF CP "Patch" Antenna
Dielectric's new low-power circularly polarized panel antenna is designed to fill coverage gaps in networks and provide reliable signal performance. Featuring low-weight aluminum construction with ABS Radome, single Type N or 7/16 DIN input, and 65 degree beam width, this new antenna can be configured in standard narrow and wide cardioids, peanut and omni azimuthal patterns with various elevation gains. Custom patterns are available upon request.
Switchback Filter for Mobile Media
Dielectric Communications' Switchback filters are designed specifically for 700 MHz applications. Based on the state of the art design techniques and technologies essential for providing cost effective solutions for the very stringent filter market, this compact new filter can be mounted into a standard 19" rack. Dielectric's special design techniques provide superior electrical performance with extremely low loss for a filter of comparative size. The filter exhibits less than 1.1 dB integrated insertion loss over the band. State of the art material selection provides temperature compensation within +/-10 kHz drift.
