THE VITEC GROUP RF SYSTEMS WELCOMES INDUSTRY VETERAN STEPHEN SHPOCK AS PRESIDENT AND MANAGING DIRECTOR
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ, AUGUST 7, 2008 – Twenty-four year microwave industry veteran Stephen W. Shpock has recently joined The Vitec Group RF Systems (VGRFS) as the company’s new president and managing director. VGRFS is a business unit of the Broadcast Systems Division of The Vitec Group, plc. It is comprised of the leading wireless link companies Microwave Services Corporation (MSC), a leading microwave repair facility; Nucomm, a major global provider of fixed and wireless links; and RF Central, a leading distributor and integrator of microwave products. In his new position, Shpock will oversee all three of these prestigious U.S.-based companies and be responsible for their operations worldwide.
“My goal is to ensure that The Vitec Group RF Systems’ companies maintain their reputations as the leading specialists in microwave wireless transmission across the globe,” Shpock says. “I’m proud to take the reins during this historic transition to digital broadcasting, when the speed, cost and bandwidth capabilities inherent to microwave wireless transmission will find more appreciation and application than ever before.”

Prior to his current role, Shpock was CEO of Thales Components Corporation, where he was responsible for all North American component activities for the multinational Thales Group. Previous to that position, he served as COO of MCE Technologies, where he led the strategic direction and coordination of all global manufacturing, engineering and marketing activities. He has also held various positions at Litton Electron Devices, now a component of L3.
Shpock has a BEE from Stevens Institute of Technology, an MEE and a DEE from the University of Utah, and an MBA from the University of Rochester. As president of VGRFS, he is based at Nucomm headquarters in Hackettstown, NJ.
