Elation Introduces More Than 80 New IP-Rated Indoor/Outdoor High-Performance Affordable LED Architectural Lighting Products

LOS ANGELES – Now building and landscape designers who want to add color to their projects have more lighting solutions to choose from than ever before. Elation Professional has added over 80 new IP-rated LED fixtures to its ELAR line of high-performance indoor-outdoor architectural lighting products.

Featuring both RGB color-changing and cool/warm white fixtures, the new products cover a variety of exterior applications -- from par cans and flood lights, to inground and underwater units – as well as control solutions. All of the fixtures offer the long lamp life and “green” energy savings of LED technology. And, with ratings of IP65 to IP68, all are rugged enough to withstand the rigors of outdoor, even submersible, use.

A longtime supplier of professional lighting to the entertainment and design industries, Elation developed the ELAR line in response to requests from architectural customers for affordable outdoor color lighting solutions that offer energy savings and other benefits of LED technology.

“In recent years, there has been a strong trend for designers to add color-changing and even static color lights to enhance their buildings and landscape,” said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. “We have had many requests from our customers for lighting solutions to use on the ‘outside’ of projects they are working on. LEDs are the ideal solution for this application, because they create vibrant colors that highlight a building’s aesthetics, while being very low on energy usage and maintenance”

Elation drew upon its many years’ experience in the entertainment industry to design LED lighting fixtures and control systems applicable for exterior architectural use, said Loader. “Our ELAR products provide a new tool for the palette of designers, whose choices of IP-rated LED fixtures have been limited until now.”

With over 80 new fixtures and controllers, Elation’s ELAR line presents a complete supply source for outdoor architectural lighting products. Many of the products offer unique solutions and hard-to-find features, such as the ELAR-4J01 and ELAR-4J06, diecast IP68-rated discs with 9 RGB lamps that can be mounted on the top of a water jet to illuminate the center of the water stream with dramatic color. The ELAR-5W06 and ELAR-5W08, also rated at IP68, have the ability focus underwater lighting in any direction, thanks to a specially-designed integrated floor stand bracket.

Many of the more standard ELAR fixtures offer special features too, such as the ELAR-3F10 color-changing landscape spotlight, which utilizes Elation’s exclusive Tri-Color LED Technology. Each of the 3F10’s three 3W LED lamps is actually a tri-color LED, comprised of a 1W red, 1W green and 1W blue LED. This three-in-one lamp design produces a higher output and richer, more consistent mixed colors, while eliminating the annoying multi-color shadows that commonly appear on objects illuminated by RGB fixtures with single-color lamps.

Another thing that distinguishes the ELAR products is that they’re in stock and ready to ship. Customers don’t have to wait long periods for delivery, as has often been the case with architectural lighting products in the past, noted Loader. “Having products in stock will allow designers and installers to take care of those last minute additions and retrofit projects very quickly and make their own customers, in turn, very happy,” he pointed out.

High in quality and affordably priced, the ELAR line was also designed to offer customers an excellent dollar value. “The Elation brand is known throughout the entertainment industry for providing one of the best quality-to-price values, and our goal is to bring a similar value-driven product line to the architectural market,” Loader said.
