Shaun Dail of Orad, Inc. to Present at Rocky Mountain VidExpo 2008
KFAR-SABA, Israel — Oct. 6, 2008 — Shaun Dail, North American vice president of sales and marketing at Orad, Inc., will present two seminars at the Rocky Mountain VidExpo 2008, in Denver on Oct. 8 and 9. The presentations will focus on how broadcasters can deploy new, workflow-efficient broadcast graphics systems to provide quality, efficiency, and ROI benefits.
The first seminar, held in the Comcast Pavilion, focuses on the use of template-based virtual graphics to save time, effort, and stress in a fast-paced production environment. Dail will discuss the benefits of real-time, 3D graphics in applications such as broadcast productions. He will also provide details on how Turner Sports recently deployed Orad's 3DPlay to enhance the look of its MLB All-Star Selection Show. The presentation is set for Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 2:45-3:45 p.m.
Also in the Comcast Pavilion, the second seminar will occur on Thursday, Oct. 9 from noon to 1:15 p.m. and focus on virtual set solutions. Dail will discuss the rise of virtual sets within the broadcast and IPTV industry and the numerous advantages of virtual sets at both the station and network level. Dail's presentation will include a case study on Global Television, one broadcaster relying on virtual set systems across its 14 Canadian stations to improve return on investment (ROI), while at the same time enhancing the local television experience for viewers in its smaller markets.
"Our research indicates many in the industry have yet to recognize the dramatic changes in technology that make real-time 3D graphics and virtual set solutions so useful and easy to implement," said Dail. "The purpose of my presentations is to show that these types of systems are not only feasible, but essential for broadcasters wishing to captivate their viewing audiences while at the same time increasing quality and ROI and improving overall efficiency in their productions."
Rocky Mountain VidExpo 2008 will take place at the Hammons Convention Center at the Crown Plaza, Denver International Airport (I-70 and Chambers Road). Besides seminars, the expo will feature manufacturer exhibits, new technology demonstrations, and speakers covering a wide range of topics. For more information, visit www.vidxpo.com
