Stantron® Introduces GHR Rack, Displays Full Range of Equipment Racks and Accessories at SATCON 2008

Picture

MAYVILLE, WISCONSIN – October 1, 2008 – Stantron®, a division of Mayville Products Corporation, will show its range of equipment racks and accessories for broadcast, cable and satellite facilities at the upcoming SATCON show (Jacob Javits Center, October 15-16, Booth 610). Stantron’s unique range of durable racks and cabling, power and other accessories provide systems integrators and engineers with complete, customizable solutions for studios and technical operations centers of all sizes.

SATCON 2008 marks the public debut of the Stantron GHR rack, a compact, sturdy rack designed to fit into existing infrastructures. The Stantron GHR rack gives integrators new options when replacing or adding racks in technical facilities where space is at a premium. Similar in design to Stantron’s popular Broadcast E-Rack, the GHR matches up with other manufacturers’ racks and provides a hole pattern that allows direct baying to other racks in existing facilities.

Stantron will also showcase its Broadcast E-Rack family, a series of customizable racks available in a variety of heights and depths. The Broadcast E-Rack, featuring several new and innovative features, is ideal for managing and dressing cables efficiently. An open frame design allows for straight cable runs from top-to-bottom without kinks or bends to maintain optimal signal quality. Professional cable management is enabled through a series of horizontal mounting bars, vertical lacing rails, and optional T-Hook lacing panels that eliminate tedious threading of tie straps through small lacing holes. The Stantron Broadcast E-Rack also features a variety of sturdy cantilevered shelves, clamp shelves, and drawers for housing and protecting mission-critical equipment.

Stantron completes its rack offering with Lacing Options, PowerOptions™, Lighting Options and Cooling Options, to help manage, protect and secure equipment while making it easy to use and maintain a professional appearance. Stantron’s PowerMount™ system for mounting vertical power strips within racks features full-length mounting brackets to accept all styles and sizes of vertical Stantron PowerOptions™ power strips. The PowerMount system offer a 180-degree swivel feature to rotate power strips during maintenance or integration procedures. The system allows power cable plugs to be neatly dressed to the side of the cabinet, rather than protruding into the open space in the cabinet. While it protects the plugs from accidental disconnection, it also improves overall airflow and enhances equipment cooling by removing cables from the air path.

Stantron’s cost-effective Cooling Options allows customers to strategically target cooling to the equipment that needs it with cooling panels that fit on the rear rack rails and can be easily positioned. The Lighting Options range works exceptionally well in black or dark colored racks where lighting is very important during installation and service and is typically blocked or absorbed. Lights attached to any steel surface by a magnetic strip, providing a flexible, portable illumination solution for all racks.
