Cost-Saving CubeX 2x2 and 3x3 Standalone Video Wall Controllers Transform Discrete Monitors Into High-Impact Display Solutions

BURBANK, Calif. — Oct. 28, 2009 — CubeX Video, a leading supplier of turnkey video wall solutions, today introduced the most cost-effective 2x2 and 3x3 video wall controllers yet to hit the market. These state-of-the-art stand-alone systems operate independently, without a PC, to turn new or existing plasma or LCD monitors into visually stunning, full-frame-rate video walls with scaling quality that rivals competing systems at just a tenth of the cost.

"Video wall technology brings moving images to life, engaging the viewer and making a lasting impact with the seamless display of high-quality content across multiple screens," said Lincoln Arteaga, product manager at CubeX Video. "With our CubeX 2x2 and 3x3 video wall controllers, we have pushed video wall technology to a new height, not only enabling users to get more bang out of their existing plasma or LCD displays, but also helping them to realize much greater value in designing their own video walls with new displays."

CubeX video wall controllers enable users to buy new monitors of their choice or to repurpose old plasma or LCD displays in configurations of up to a 6x6 video wall. The video wall controller accepts any high-bandwidth analog (VGA) or digital (DVI or HDMI) signal up to 1920x1200 and automatically displays signals from sources such as a digital cable or satellite TV receiver box, PC, digital signage player, or Blu-ray player (non-HDCP) as a 2x2, 2x3, 3x2, or 3x3 video wall, depending on the model deployed.

The CubeX 2x2 video wall controller accepts a single input, typically DVI (HDMI with adapter) or VGA, and generates four outputs, also DVI (HDMI with adapter). Supporting the same input and output types, the CubeX 3x3 video wall controller accepts a single input and provides up to nine outputs. On both systems, a convenient onscreen menu display makes it easy to set characteristics including the input format, the gap compensation (bezel masking) required to correct picture distortion, and the output resolution.

Prices start at $2,995 for the CubeX 2x2 video wall controller and $3,995 for the CubeX 3x3 video wall controller. More information about video wall solutions offered by CubeX is available at www.cubexvideo.com
