Gefen Releases Two Wireless Extenders to Control and Access Wall Mounted Flat Panel Displays
Charlotte, NC - As more worship facilities begin to utilize wall-mounted displays in the church or temple, Gefen offers an easy way to access and control content with complete wireless
connectivity. The new Wireless for HDMI 60Ghz Extender sends high definition video with multi-channel audio up to 30 feet (10m) in distance. Uncompressed 1080p/60 resolutions are displayed in pure digital format.
“For houses of worship it’s ideal because installers don’t have to cut into walls to run cabling,” said Hagai Gefen, president and CEO, Gefen Inc. “Installers now have an easy way to upgrade to true high definition and reach displays in hard to reach locations.”
Working in tandem is the new Wireless RS-232 Extender, which connects control systems to the remote display using the serial connection. Up to 100 feet (30m) in distance can be spanned by the Wireless RS-232 Extender. This solution uses 2.4 GHz RF sender and receiver units equipped with tiny antenna to expand the wireless range. The signal can pass through walls and this device is immune to interference from other 2.4 GHz devices. Together they create a wireless method of control with an expanded range perfect for worship facilities.
