Lighting Basics for Houses of Worship
     
The workshop will start with a look at the standard lighting fixtures and compare that to where we are going, LED Technology in fixtures to help meet the “Green” requirements in new construction. Also we will look at new ways to distribute DMX, or the wireless revolution.

HDTV History, Standards and Formats     

This class will begin the High-definition discussion by looking at the history of HD technologies. We’ll answer questions like, “what makes content high definition?”, and “what are some options for migrating to HD”? We’ll investigate HD-SD conversion options, and content and workflow pitfalls to avoid when planning to update your facility to HD. We’ll build an understanding of what formats are needed to support working in a high-definition environment.

Advancing planning and design with the church committee will help to budget the church's monies more effectively for both building and remodeling facilities.

Church vs. Theatre Lighting: What's the Difference?
     
This seminar will explore what makes a church system different from a theatre. Churches are embracing lighting more than ever, and need help in understanding how to use the tools found in every theatre. By examining different styles of church architecture, we will explore solutions for integrating lighting, from the small strip mall to the large auditorium style church being built today. We will also examine how to design systems for the whole building, taking energy conservation into account.
