evolution wireless G3 100 series

Rugged metal housings for the transmitters and receivers, automatic frequency management and a Soundcheck Mode: for musicians and vocalist alike, the entry-level evolution wireless series offers absolutely professional microphone systems – and the reassuring feeling of being able to rely on top-quality technology during live performances.
The series includes seven complete microphone sets for vocals, instruments and speech. The series offers a convincing sound that can assert itself, and offers features that you normally find in much more expensive systems.”

Pleasing for the band
From the guitar tuner of the Instrument Set right through to the sound-optimised microphone of the HeadSet –The series offers a range of special features to musicians, vocalists and presenters more than ever before. The systems’ audio frequency response has become wider: the reproduction of the instrument transmitters now extends down to 25 Hz, which is particularly good news for bass guitarists. Another feature is the guitar cable emulator: this allows the typical change in the sound caused by the capacitance of the guitar cable to be emulated, ensuring that a wireless guitar sounds just like a cabled one. The Vocal Sets are equipped with microphone heads from the evolution 800 series; exchangeable heads from the 900 series can also be used, making sure that the optimum sound is always available.

Support for the sound engineer
Up to 1,680 switchable frequencies are available over a 42 MHz switching bandwidth. 20 channel banks each have up to 12 presets, and one further channel bank is freely programmable in 25-kHz steps. To ensure that the sound engineer can do justice to all the different sound sources, the systems have an integrated equalizer. In addition, the audio sensitivity is also adjustable within a wider range: 48 dB for the handheld transmitter and the receiver, 60 dB for the bodypack transmitter. The system can be programmed in two levels via a large, back-lit dot matrix display. The User Level contains everything that is immediately required for a show, while the Advanced Level offers further options such as direct frequency selection, a guitar cable emulator and a system reset. Preparation for the conditions at the performance venue is supported by the Soundcheck Mode, which continuously checks the RF and audio levels. A fast set-up is guaranteed by the automatic frequency management for the transmitters and receivers as well as by the synchronisation of the transmitters via an infrared interface.

Good for long-term use – and for the environment
All transmitters of the 100 series can be powered either by standard batteries or by Sennheiser’s special rechargeable battery packs. The BA 2015 battery pack can be conveniently recharged while still in the transmitter. “That’s an ideal feature for all users who want to save battery costs and protect the environment at the same time,” explained Martin Fischer. “With the evolution wireless charging technology, wireless systems can be recharged quickly and conveniently ready for the next performance.”
