Bio:
Peter has 25 years of experience in the Chicago television production community. In 1985 he co-founded Behind the Scenes, a scenic company that provided custom and rental scenery for corporate television, national commercials, feature films and corporate events. Peter served as a Production Designer and Scenic Coordinator providing support for clients such as McDonald’s, 20th Century Fox, Allstate Insurance, Waste Management, BP Amoco, Square D Corporation, AT & T, and Comcast among others. He continued in a design and management capacity after TLN purchased BTS in 1998. Peter is a two time Emmy Award nominee and in 2001 he received an Emmy Award in Production Design for a composite of his work at TLN. As TLN began preparing to formalize the design and construction plans for a new facility in Aurora, Illinois, Peter was called upon to design and consult on specific interior and exterior elements, space allocation, furniture selection and floor planning and was an instrumental part of the building process through completion. Peter became the Director of Production and Studio Operations in 2004 and currently oversees a full-time staff of sixteen producers, technicians and administrative staff as well as a part-time freelance crew of fifty. He continues to design for TLN and BTS and is responsible for supervising the execution of all TLN productions as well as outside client studio rentals and the operation of Behind the Scenes.
