Bio:
R Bob Adams is International Director / Pro Market Development for SLS Loudspeakers and offices in Houston, Texas. Before SLS, he spent more than 20 years as an independent acoustical and theater consultant, with a project focus on churches. In that career, R Bob worked with thousands of churches of all sizes all across the United States and the world.
R Bob is a published author in such magazines as The Church Musician, Religion Magazine, Your Church, The Communicator, Technologies for Worship, Church Production, and Sound & Video Contractor. He is featured in Crown International’s training video for operators, “Live Sound! for Houses of Worship.” Additionally, R Bob is much sought after as a speaker, having given hundreds of seminars for such organizations in both the United States and in over 20 foreign countries. Some of the organizations for which R Bob has presented include the Acoustical Society of America, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, National Conference of Church Musicians, JBL Corporation, Barco Corporation, AKG Corporation, National System Contractors Association (NSCA), Council of Educational Facility Planners International, the Baptist Sunday School Board (now Lifeway), SLS Audio, the National Creative Arts Festival, the Inspiration Conferences in the U.S. and Canada, and the International Communications Industry Association, Music Messe International in Germany, the KOBA technology show in Seoul, South Korea, the CALM technology EXPO in Beijing, China, the ENTECH Audio & Video conference in Australia, the Jensen Technology Conference in New Zealand, and both Music Moscow and ATM Technology Conference in Irkutsk (Siberia) Russia.

Communication Tools – Used properly, that is what sound, lighting, and video systems are. Through the ministry of Technologies for Worship Magazine many churches today are learning that the goal is not the tool or its function, the goal is to communicate a risen, life changing Christ and His love. TFWM was established to help church’s communicate the Word of God using these tools, and they have continued to be true to that calling for over 15 years. It has been my privilege to be one of their contributors for these many years.
