You’ve got talent, you play and/or write music, you sing, you act and/or write your own plays. You’re a young performing artist, and you’re good. You’re also a Christian, which is just as much part of who you are just as your artistic talent is.
The MasterClass, held from January 17 – 21, 2009 in Branson, MO, offers five days to work hard, learn from masters in your craft and take your talent – your horn, your voice, your acting, whatever your gift is – to the next level, in a nurturing Christian environment.
By providing direction, confidence and capability in youth, MasterClass sessions will enhance creativity, leadership and relationships. By exposing Christian artistic youth to Christian master artists and other Christian artistic youth, MasterClass builds faith communities throughout the United States as the students share their talents and testimony through their high school, college and adult years.
MasterClass week will be filled with small group and larger ensemble sessions specific to various areas of interest, freestyle sessions for jamming and playing with new friends, and time to experience the performance of your peers. In addition to the world-class instructors at The MasterClass, you also will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from colleges with serious arts programs.
By networking with other Christian artists and mentors, the MasterClass workshops will build relationships to not only strengthen youth but to teach and encourage them to share their faith in God with others. This will be supported by evangelistic and discipleship training during their MasterClass experience and throughout the relationship and training process.
